The private credit industry is undergoing a transparency revolution. As firms compete for retail investor dollars, they’re moving away from quarterly valuations to monthly or even daily updates—a dramatic shift for a market built on opacity.
Brian Garfield recently spoke with Bloomberg, sharing “We’ve seen a tremendous upshoot in the number of valuations that we’re doing more frequently than quarterly. Anytime that NAV is being struck on a daily basis or a monthly basis or quarterly, you’re going to find the cadence of valuations is falling alongside that.”
