Rodney Lacey

As a Managing Director in Lincoln’s Valuations and Opinions Group, Rodney leverages more than 25 years of experience to help private capital clients accurately determine the fair value of their investments in non-liquid securities for financial reporting purposes. With broad expertise across valuation disciplines, he focuses on serving private capital firms primarily investing in energy and infrastructure.

Rodney specializes in complex valuation analyses, including those with minimal, limited or nebulous fact patterns. He brings a deep understanding of his clients’ core risks and needs, proactively adapting his advisory approach to evolving market factors, valuation trends and engagement scope.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Rodney was a Managing Director in Stout’s portfolio valuations group. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Kroll (f.k.a Duff & Phelps) and Morgan Stanley, as well as for a long-only, credit-focused hedge fund. Throughout his experience in the energy sector, Rodney has assisted clients with understanding the solvency and liquidity challenges brought on by the California utility deregulation cycle, assisted clients with understanding the impact of the COVID pandemic on hydrocarbon pricing and was an early voice on discussing some of the inherent risk associated with the securitization mechanisms being implemented in the UK water sector. His experience continues to inform his advisory processes today.

Rodney earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, summa cum laude, from Texas A&M University.
