My approach with our bankers and clients is to listen, pay attention to detail, anticipate and keep an eye on the big picture.

James leads Lincoln’s overall strategic and operational efforts in Brazil and manages the firm’s São Paulo office. He spearheads origination efforts and management of clients and institutional relationships in the region, leads deal teams and heads the office`s recruiting efforts.

James has more than 35 years of experience originating, structuring and executing financing and advisory mandates in emerging markets, with a strong concentration in Latin America.
He has deep investment banking expertise in mergers and acquisitions, buy-side and sell-side transactions, inward investment, fundraising and corporate restructuring.

James is on the advisory board of Fight for Peace, and on the board of the MIS and Paco das Artes Museums in Sao Paulo. He has also sat on the boards of Trevisa, a publicly quoted shipping company, various funds, and was President and Events Director of the Harvard Business School Club of Brazil.

James joined Lincoln from CFS Partners, a regionally focused advisory boutique, where he managed the Brazil office. Prior to CFS, he was a partner with private equity firm Antfactory Latin America, head of the Latin American basic industries group at Deutsche Bank, and represented Morgan Grenfell in Brazil.

James earned a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science from the University of São Paulo.
