Chris Brooks

I deliver a hands-on approach to provide strategic advice to my clients throughout the transaction and beyond.

Chris leads the firm’s technology, media and telecom (TMT) efforts in the UK, focusing on the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He advises middle market, owner-managed businesses and private equity owned-businesses on M&A and raising of equity finance. Chris works with U.K. domestic and international businesses and leverages Lincoln’s global reach to achieve success in cross-border transactions.

Chris has developed a deep understanding of the TMT industry over the last 20 years. Chris supports companies seeking to capitalize on rapid change and advancement in the TMT sector through capital raise or accelerating growth through acquisitions. Chris is particularly active in ICT and software.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Chris was a Managing Director at Oakley Advisory Limited, working on middle market TMT transactions. Beforehand, Chris was corporate development director at Cable & Wireless Worldwide plc, where he was responsible for the execution of the demerger from Cable & Wireless plc, and the subsequent focus on middle market and global telecoms and hosting activities. Prior to C&W, Chris was with Rothschild for 12 years in M&A in London and Sydney.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts (with honors) from the University of Nottingham. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
