The Deal
The combination with Nippon Express (NX Group) is the consequential next step in the corporate evolution of Simon Hegele, enabling it to leverage its expertise and client relationships on a truly global basis. The acquisition is also highly synergetic, allowing for comprehensive end-to-end transportation and logistics solutions and international scale-up, especially in the healthcare sector, with a focus on Asia. In addition, the sale to Nippon Express completes the succession from the Hegele family, which began with the entry of EMZ Partners in 2021. Supported by EMZ Partners, Simon Hegele’s leadership team implemented an ambitious growth plan, combining organic expansion in the Healthcare segment with entry into the pharma market and successful add-on acquisitions.
