Littlejohn & Co. has acquired Milrose Consultants from Southfield Capital

Milrose Consultants

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in New York City, Milrose offers fully integrated building lifecycle services in permitting, architectural and engineering consulting, code consulting, municipal compliance and special inspection services. The company provides comprehensive regulatory and compliance solutions that support existing buildings and highly complex real estate projects across the United States. Milrose serves a diverse portfolio of blue-chip customers including building owners, property managers, operators, developers, general contractors, architects, engineers, tenants and large corporations across multifamily, office, retail, healthcare, industrial and hospitality assets.

The Deal

Littlejohn & Co. engaged Lincoln International in connection with its acquisition of Milrose Consultants from Southfield Capital. Lincoln supported Littlejohn throughout the evaluation process, drawing on its expertise in technical and regulatory consulting and perspectives on the built environment services sector to help assess Milrose’s differentiated platform, growth strategy and M&A opportunities.

Southfield partnered with Milrose in 2019. During its ownership, Milrose expanded from a New York City-focused permitting strategy and consulting business into a national, full-service regulatory consulting and compliance platform. The company completed 14 acquisitions, expanded into major markets including California, Illinois, Texas, Pennsylvania and Florida, broadened its service offering across architectural and engineering regulatory consulting and special inspection services and invested in sales, technology, integration capabilities and leadership infrastructure.

Littlejohn is well-positioned to support Milrose in its next chapter as the company scales its national footprint, deepens its service capabilities and accelerates organic and acquisition-led growth.

Our Perspective

“Milrose has built a differentiated national platform at the intersection of compliance, regulatory complexity and the built environment,” said Saurin Mehta, Managing Director and Global Head of Business Services at Lincoln International. “The company’s scaled service capabilities, longstanding client relationships and proven acquisition playbook position it well for continued growth as clients continue to seek a trusted partner to navigate an increasingly complex environment. We were pleased to advise Littlejohn and look forward to seeing Milrose further accelerate its already impressive growth trajectory.”
