Private shareholders have sold IBI Lorenzini to ACS Dobfar

Founded in 1918 and headquartered in Aprilia, Italy, Istituto Biochimico Italiano Giovanni Lorenzini (IBI Lorenzini) is a global biopharmaceutical group specializing in injectable β-lactam antibiotics. The group develops, manufactures and commercializes a portfolio of β-lactam (main focus) and non-β-lactam pharmaceutical products serving primarily the hospital market while also providing CDMO and CMO services to pharmaceutical partners as well as manufacturing over-the-counter (OTC) products for the retail end market. IBI Lorenzini serves customers in more than 15 countries through subsidiaries and a network of distribution partners.
The Deal
IBI Lorenzini shareholders engaged Lincoln International to identify the right partner to support the group’s next phase of growth.
