Diamond Animal Health is a provider of contract manufacturing, research and development (R&D), regulatory, licensing and product distribution services to pharmaceutical and biologics companies in the animal health space. Headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, and founded in 1952, Diamond provides a one-stop-shop from proof of concept to commercialization for powders, liquids and tablets for a multitude of animal species.
The Deal
Diamond was sold to Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions (VPS), a portfolio company of Granite Creek Capital Partners. Based in St. Peter, Minnesota, VPS is a licensed animal compounding pharmacy primarily focused on supporting the veterinary community in the swine industry. Diamond will operate as a new division of VPS and the combined organization creates an integrated animal health platform that is uniquely positioned to provide a diverse offering of products, services and capabilities.
