Reuther Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG has been sold to Sun Capital

The shareholders of Reuther Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG sold 100% of their shares to an affiliate of Sun European Partners, LLP, the European adviser to Sun Capital Partners, Inc. Reuther Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG is a leading German manufacturer of flexible plastic packaging. The parties agreed to keep the details of the transaction confidential.

The company is a full-service solution provider and specializes in manufacturing pre-fabricated bags and reels and mainly supplies packaging for pet food, sweets and coffee/tea. The business was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Neuwied, Germany. The company operates four production facilities in Europe and one distribution partnership in the U.S.

The transaction comes at an opportune time for the company, strengthening the business financially as well as strategically.
