Lineage Capital has sold Syracuse Glass Company to Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, a portfolio company of KPS Capital Partners
Syracuse Glass Company
Syracuse Glass Company is a leading architectural glass and aluminum fabricator serving the small- to mid-sized job market in the Northeastern U.S. Headquartered in Syracuse, New York, and with more than 100 years of operation, the company has maintained a stellar reputation in the industry, driven by best-in-class customer service, a broad portfolio of quality products and industry-leading delivery capabilities.
Following Lineage Capital’s investment in Syracuse Glass in 2019, the company enhanced its platform by further penetrating existing and contiguous markets, expanding specialty product categories and focusing on operational and margin-enhancing activities. Given the achievement of these objectives, the shareholders engaged Lincoln International to run a process to find a partner that could support the company on its continued growth plan. The partnership between Syracuse Glass and Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope will result in enhanced customer service in the markets served and greater ability to capitalize on growing demand for architectural glass and aluminum.
Scott Molinaro, Managing Director and co-head of Lincoln’s building products team, commented, “It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to work with the Lineage Capital and Syracuse Glass teams. Syracuse Glass has a long history of market leadership in the small- to mid-sized job market, and the combination with Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope positions the team well for its next phase of growth.”
Lincoln did a commendable job running the process in a dynamic building products market and positioning the company’s unique investment merits and growth opportunities to the marketplace. We are very pleased with the outcome and look forward to our next chapter with Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope.
