IVC Evidensia, a portfolio company of EQT Partners, has sold a group of veterinary practices to Perwyn
IVC Evidensia is the largest veterinary services provider in Europe and Canada comprising an expansive network of around 2,600 clinics, hospitals and out-of-hour centers based across 20 countries with approximately 41,000 employees.
Lincoln International acted as the exclusive sell-side financial advisor to IVC Evidensia in the divestiture of eight UK veterinary practices (18 clinics), following a review by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Following IVC Evidensia’s decision to divest the practices, Lincoln ran an expedited process in line with the CMA’s stringent regulatory requirements and timelines, working closely with IVC Evidensia to quickly prepare the eight practices for sale, in parallel with IVC Evidensia’s extensive carve out and legal workstreams. The deal ultimately completed with the sale of four veterinary practices (10 clinics) to Perwyn Advisors, and the remaining four practices (eight clinics) to individual purchasers, including ex-vendors.
Matthew Lee, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Healthcare Group, commented, “We are pleased to have helped IVC Evidensia deliver this complex and time constrained transaction. We believe that in Perwyn, and a further selection of high quality purchasers, we have found the right partners to ensure the future success of these practices.”
