Zwart Techniek (Zwart) is a leading power system integrator delivering and servicing mission-critical (emergency) power systems for data centers, vital and public infrastructure and power-critical businesses across Europe. Zwart offers end-to-end energy resilient solutions for emergency power, with emerging activities in battery energy storage and primary power. Zwart serves a world-class customer base including some of the world’s largest hyperscalers and colocation data center operators driving the data center growth in Europe. Founded in 1930, Zwart is headquartered in Ijmuiden, the Netherlands, with additional locations in Houten, the Netherlands, and Frankfurt. Zwart employs approximately 160 full-time employees.

The Deal

Under Scheybeeck and Beek Capital’s ownership, Zwart rapidly established a unique competitive position as the only scaled truly pan-European player in a fragmented market. In order to support Zwart’s next stage of development, the shareholders launched a process to attract a new international majority partner.

Lincoln International was appointed as exclusive advisor and ran a high-paced, competitive process. Seven2 ultimately emerged as the preferred best partner to support Zwart in its next growth phase. Scheybeeck, Beek Capital and the management team will all reinvest along with Seven2.
