WestBridge has acquired Techex
Techex is UK’s leading broadcast design architect for live cloud and internet protocol (IP) broadcast solutions. The company designs, commissions and supports live video transport, processing, redundancy and monitoring solutions leveraging own IP and deep relationships with the most innovative broadcast and media companies. Since 1971, the company has hunted out disruptive technologies and helped its customers gain a competitive edge. Techex’s value is underpinned by its trusted partner status and long-term continuous development engagements with its strategic Tier 1 broadcast and media customers.
Working closely with the WestBridge team, Lincoln International provided market and sector insights, strategic advice and process management, together with comprehensive debt advice. An attractive debt package was secured with Lincoln managing all aspects of the acquisition financing process. The acquisition of Techex builds upon WestBridge’s track record of investing into growing technology companies across the UK. With WestBridge’s support alongside a highly experienced management team, Techex will continue to grow talent across the team, expand geographically and build on the strong customer relationships it already enjoys.
Anant Kapoor, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Technology, Media & Telecom Group, commented, “Techex is an industry leader across the live cloud and IP broadcast solutions sector, and this transaction highlights the continued consolidation across the broader media services and software sector. We truly enjoyed working with the WestBridge team and look forward to watching Techex’s continued success.”
Xenia Sarri, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Capital Advisory Group, added, “The transaction highlights that despite the economic backdrop and more challenging financing market conditions, lenders remain supportive of strong companies with attractive credit characteristics, especially when backed by a reputable and experienced sponsor like WestBridge.”
Having worked with Lincoln before, we knew that their integrated mergers and acquisitions and debt offering would enable us to achieve an outstanding result. Ultimately, their hands-on support and expertise was instrumental in delivering this excellent outcome.
