The Carlyle Group has agreed to acquire a majority stake in iC Consult Group

The Carlyle Group’s middle market technology-focused fund, Carlyle Europe Technology Partners (CETP), will become the majority shareholder of iC Consult, bringing its global network, resources and deep industry knowledge to support iC Consult’s strategic growth plan. The company’s management will remain significant shareholders in the business.

iC Consult provides consulting advice and services in the identity and access management services (IAM) sector and uses its network to bring together the entire IAM value chain, from consulting, architecture and implementation to managed services to its own IAM cloud platform-as-a-service. The company has a strong blue-chip customer base, including more than half of the DAX 30 companies. The company is well positioned to grow significantly in the future, with IAM being an issue of strategic importance for all businesses.

The Carlyle Group is a global alternative asset manager with $230 billion of assets under management across various investment vehicles as of September 30, 2020. The Carlyle Group’s purpose is to invest wisely and create value on behalf of its investors, many of whom are public pensions.
