Synova Capital has acquired a significant minority stake in Preventx
Preventx provides outsourced self-sampling sexual health testing services to local authorities and the NHS, delivered via a fully integrated platform which combines a strong front-end online capability with state-of-the-art laboratory operations in Sheffield, England. The business has developed a strong reputation and track record in the execution of its services having recently been awarded the pan-London contract for self-sampling sexual health testing, making it the market leader in the country. Preventx now covers over one third of England via contracts with local authorities and the NHS.
Lincoln acted as exclusive financial advisor to Synova Capital, working closely with the deal team to provide support for the transaction, including valuation guidance, an exit review and insights on potential future strategic options for the business. Lincoln’s deal team leveraged the experience and capabilities of the firm’s Global Lincoln Healthcare Group, which has completed five laboratory deals in the last two years, to bring perspectives and expertise to bear as they supported Synova to assess the opportunity.
