Perforce, a portfolio company of Francisco Partners and Clearlake, has acquired 21Labs
Perforce, a provider of solutions to enterprise teams requiring productivity, visibility and scale along the development lifecycle, backed by Francisco Partners and Clearlake, announced that it has acquired 21Labs, an artificial intelligence-based (AI-based) mobile testing provider that helps businesses deliver quality software faster.
21Labs offers a cloud-based autonomous, codeless mobile testing solution that instantly creates tests, generates test scripts / test data and executes tests in a code-free environment.
As Perforce’s second codeless / scriptless acquisition, 21Labs will further strengthen the company’s portfolio of automated testing solutions. With the acquisition of 21Labs coupled with the announcement of Perfecto Scriptless solution for no-code web testing and the addition of virtual mobile devices, the Perforce testing platform now offers the only complete set of digital tools for mobile and web environments available today.
Roger Knight, Managing Director of Lincoln’s Technology, Media & Telecom Group, commented, “We are excited to have advised Perforce on this strategic transaction. The combination of Perfecto and 21Labs enables Perforce to offer an industry-leading continuous testing solution across web and mobile that delivers AI-driven insights, improves application quality and directly impacts digital success for enterprises.”
Lincoln acted as the exclusive investment banking advisor to Perforce, working closely with the management team and shareholders, providing industry expertise and managing all phases of the transaction. Terms of the transaction were not publicly disclosed.
Lincoln’s deep software test automation expertise, thoughtful guidance and dedication to top-notch execution were instrumental in identifying and executing the 21Labs opportunity.
