OPUS Group of Companies has been sold to Beaulieu International Group

Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of the controlling interest in Opus Group of Companies, the leading Russian flooring distribution business, by Beaulieu International Group (B.I.G.), the renowned international manufacturer of flooring solutions. The transaction was completed on July 3, 2014, and has become a cornerstone deal for the Russian floor coverings market which will open new perspectives for successful growth and development of both businesses.

Lincoln has acted as a financial advisor to the sellers. Opus was founded in Moscow in 1994. In addition to the Moscow headquarters and warehouse, the group opened six warehouses throughout Russia (Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Rostov and Khabarovsk) and two representative offices in Krasnodar and Samara. Currently, Opus is one of largest players in the floorings distribution market in Russia, with an annual turnover of more than €180 million and a volume of over 26 million square meters of floor coverings. Opus has more than 300 employees. The Company sells a wide range of Russian and international floor coverings and continues its growth. In 2014, OPUS plans to open multi-product warehouses in Rostov and Samara.

Beaulieu International Group is a renowned international group headquartered in Belgium with a solid market position both in producing raw materials and extensive range of floor coverings. B.I.G. is composed of three business units. Flooring Solutions is the European leader in wall-to-wall floor coverings (carpet, needle felt, cushion vinyl, LVT and wood). A second business unit, Granules, produces polypropylene granules for numerous applications. The third business unit, Engineered Products, houses the activities fibres, yarns, technical textiles and technical sheets. Beaulieu International Group has 3,500 employees in 26 plants and nine sales offices spread across 13 countries. In 2012, the Beaulieu International Group´s turnover was €1.4 billion.
