Founded in 2010 and based in Reading, England, Operational Solutions Group Limited (OSL) is a leading U.K. counter-drone technologies business. It actively supports major international airports, national infrastructure projects and defense markets, with solutions to the growing challenges posed by the increasing prevalence of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS or drones) worldwide. OSL’s proprietary intelligent software platform, FACETM, integrates and fuses real-time data from different sensors to detect, track, identify and manage drones and other objects within a single operating picture. The company has contracts with Heathrow and Gatwick airports and provides support to the U.K. Ministry of Defence. It recently signed a global cooperation agreement with Thales, the global aerospace, air traffic management and defense systems company, to provide combined solutions into a range of markets.
Following the Thales agreement negotiated earlier in 2021, the JV & Partnering team combined with M&A Technology to act as the exclusive financial advisor to OSL in connection with the equity raise. Lincoln prepared the company for investment, ran a highly targeted financial investor outreach process, managed the entire execution of the transaction and negotiated the key commercial terms, which culminated in an £8 million investment from BGF.
