Kölnarena Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH has sold Arena Management GmbH to CTS EVENTIM AG
The listed ticket marketer CTS EVENTIM AG acquires all shares of Arena Management GmbH from Kölnarena Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH.
Arena Management GmbH is the exclusive operating company of LANXESS Arena in Cologne. The company is responsible for operations, management and marketing of the arena, including catering and the event program. LANXESS Arena is the largest and best-known multi-purpose arena in Germany with 20,000 seats and a total floor space of 83,700 square meters. Arena Management GmbH hosts up to 180 events per year while attracting up to 1.8 million visitors with a wide range of sports, music and corporate events, theater performances, TV shows and movie screenings.
The listed CTS EVENTIM AG is Europe’s market leader in event ticketing with activities in 20 countries. More than 100 million tickets for more than 150.000 events are marketed annually via EVENTIM group’s systems.
With this acquisition CTS EVENTIM AG continues its strategy to offer all services connected with concert events as a ‘one-stop shop’. This includes the planning, organization, processing and sales related to an event. In addition, the company establishes itself in the Cologne metropolitan area with more than 20 million people in a 100 km radius.
Lincoln International was mandated by Kölnarena Beteiligungsgesellschaft as the exclusive financial advisor to search for a new, long-term strategic investor.
