Isotech Laboratories has been sold to Weatherford International
Lincoln International (“Lincoln”) announced that Isotech Laboratories, Inc. (“Isotech” or the “Company”) has been sold to Switzerland-based Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE: WFT). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Champaign, Illinois, Isotech is the world’s leading and largest independent provider of stable isotope testing services and highly engineered sampling products. Since its founding in 1985 as one of only a small number of commercial laboratories to offer isotopic analysis, Isotech has expanded its service offering to include high-precision chemical and stable isotope testing of natural gases, water, organic and inorganic solids and organic liquids. A broad range of blue-chip customers worldwide use Isotech’s services and products in a diverse range of applications, including oil and gas exploration and production, groundwater testing, quality control in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and determining the purity of foods and medicines. Weatherford International is a provider of equipment and services used in the drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention of oil and natural gas wells with 2010 revenue of $10.2 billion.
Lincoln acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Isotech, working closely with the senior management team, who were the Company’s sole shareholders, throughout the sale process. This included providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.
