Chiltern Capital has sold VIMA Group to KBR
VIMA Group is a leading provider of digital transformation solutions to defense and other public sector clients. The company delivers solutions across several large-scale, high-priority digital transformation programs to support its clients in ensuring the availability of effective digital and information technology, as guided by the UK’s Digital Strategy for Defence. VIMA is a trusted adviser and a top five supplier to Defence Digital and Navy Digital – both organizations within the UK Ministry of Defence with a number of highly strategic, fast-growing programs.
In a tightly managed auction process, KBR emerged as the preferred partner for VIMA’s management team.
Philip Weston, Partner at Chiltern Capital, said, “Lincoln’s execution capabilities were second to none. Their deep sector expertise and ability to work seamlessly with the management team enabled us to achieve an excellent outcome.”
Anant Kapoor, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Group, commented, “VIMA is a UK industry leader across the digital transformation sector. The company is highly differentiated due to its focus on complex projects for the UK defense sector, deeply entrenched client relationships and fast growth. We truly enjoyed working with the VIMA and Chiltern Capital teams and look forward to watching the company’s continued success under KBR.”
Chris Brooks, Managing Director in Lincoln’s TMT Group, added, “It was a pleasure to work with the excellent management team of VIMA and its private equity owners, Chiltern Capital. This transaction continues our high levels of activity across the UK and the U.S., strengthening our position as a leading adviser to high-quality companies in the digital transformation sector.”
Lincoln worked closely with us throughout the process. Their deep domain expertise, access to the buyer universe and commitment to our process was instrumental in achieving an excellent outcome. We were impressed by Lincoln's advice throughout the deal.
