CBPE has sold Rodericks Dental to CapVest

Founded in 1984, Rodericks Dental is a leading provider of National Health Service (NHS), private and specialist dental services across England and Wales. Led by dental professionals, Rodericks has built its brand and reputation over a 35-year period and is seen as a quality, dentist and patient-focused provider. Supported by their heritage and ethos, Rodericks has become an “acquirer of choice” for vendor dentists.
The company received significant investment in the business from CBPE in 2017 that went into all areas of the business, including the head office and practice support functions, systems and processes and the labs to support best-in-class services for patients as well as making the group scalable. During CBPE’s ownership, practice numbers grew from 71 to 143 with acquisitions supported by strong organic growth and margin expansion.
The Deal
Following five years of investment and a successful partnership with CBPE, to help management find a new partner to support the business’ next phase of growth, Lincoln acted as exclusive sell-side advisor and, in a busy market, ran a narrow process engaging with only a handful of parties. This allowed management to develop a better understanding of, and relationship with, each of the potential partners and crucially, helped free up management’s time by minimizing business distraction. To support the transaction, Lincoln commissioned differentiated diligence materials, including M&A integration analysis and managed the sourcing and negotiation of a compelling debt package. Building on the investments from CapVest, under Chief Executive Officer Gareth York, Rodericks will accelerate its M&A growth plans to build a truly national provider of high-quality, clinically-led dental services to both NHS and private pay patients.
