The Deal
The Thayer management team has built Thayer into a scaled, one-stop provider of power and telecommunications infrastructure services while expanding its geographic footprint and service capabilities. In support of Thayer’s next phase of growth, the company, along with its majority owner Calera Capital (Calera), engaged Lincoln International as exclusive financial advisor to evaluate and execute a comprehensive refinancing of the Company’s existing capital structure.
Lincoln conducted a financing process across differentiated sources of institutional capital in order to find a capital solution for Thayer that would maximize the company’s ability to invest in continued organic growth and strategic expansion while maximizing its go-forward financial flexibility. The resulting financing, provided by Kohlberg & Company, refinanced Thayer’s existing credit facilities and provided significant incremental capital to support future growth initiatives. Kohlberg’s deep experience across the infrastructure services sector made it a strong fit for Thayer and Calera to further position the platform for continued success following the financing.
