Brockhaus Private Equity and management have sold IHSE Group to Brockhaus Capital Management
IHSE Group is one of the global technology leaders for high-performance IT infrastructure components for latency-free, loss-free and highly secure transmission of mission-critical data. Located at Lake Constance, Germany, IHSE has been developing and manufacturing switches and Keyboard Video Mouse (“KVM”) networking technology for efficiently operating and switching computers and consoles as well as extenders for loss-free extension of computer signals for more than 35 years. As a cross-sectional technology, IHSE products are used in a variety of end markets – wherever “mission critical” data transmission takes place – and thus benefit from increasing connectivity and digitization. Including its subsidiaries in the USA and Singapore, IHSE has approximately 110 employees.
Brockhaus Private Equity (“BPE”) was founded in Frankfurt am Main in 2000. As an independent growth investor for buy-outs and expansion financing, BPE focuses on innovation and technology leaders in the German-speaking market and manages and advises funds with a total volume of over Euro 285 million.
Georg Ganghofer, Head of Investments, states, “Brockhaus Private Equity and Management mandated Lincoln International to lead a structured and competitive sales process. Lincoln International successfully orchestrated a global auction with participation of international parties ranging from private equity groups to leading strategic contenders.”
Brockhaus Capital Management (“BCM”) has long-term and majority holdings in high-margin and high-growth B2B technology and innovation leaders. The BCM team looks back on 20 years of a successful track record in this segment. Alisted corporation, BCM can accompany its subsidiaries as a long-term partner without being tied to predetermined, short investment horizons and offer investors the opportunity to participate in the group’s performance over the long-term and on a sustainable basis.
Lincoln International acted as the exclusive sell-side advisor to BPE and the management of IHSE Group. Lincoln supported on all aspects of the sell-side process working closely with the shareholders throughout the marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction. Lincoln used its expertise by effectively conveying IHSEs of both standalone value drivers as well as growth opportunities beyond the business plan to a diverse group of strategic and financial bidders.
By leveraging its network and knowledge at the intersection of Technology and Industrials sectors, Lincoln International has also played a key role in convincingly communicating the future potential of IHSE in new fields of application such as the Internet of Things and Cyber Security.
