Bridgepoint Growth has acquired Identicare from Animalcare Group
Identicare
Identicare is a UK-based pet microchipping and pet owner-focused services company that was founded in 1989 by Animalcare Group, a UK-based pharmaceuticals business. It is the UK’s largest and most advanced microchipping database, with more than four million registered pets.
The Deal
Lincoln International advised Bridgepoint Growth on the acquisition, leveraging our significant animal health sector expertise and unique insights to support their investment thesis. The transaction was a carveout in line with Animalcare’s strategy to focus on pharmaceutical products going forward. Since 2021, Identicare has introduced three new subscription packages, launched a new platform and established key third-party partnerships as part of a strategic repositioning. Bridgepoint’s investment will support Identicare’s continued growth across all areas of microchipping, registration services and real-time support for pet owners.
