Bencis and the founding shareholder have sold Kooi to IK Partners

Kooi is the fastest growing pan-European provider of temporary video surveillance (TVS) and early-stage heat detection solutions to a range of attractive end markets. Kooi’s end-to-end solution is delivered as a service over the project lifetime, comprising advice on an optimal configuration on site, delivery and set-up of units and 24/7 tech-enabled surveillance connected to Kooi’s in-house Alarm Receiving Centers (ARCs) to triage responses. Kooi is headquartered in the Netherlands and has gone international from day one. It currently offers its services in 23 countries across Europe.

The Deal

Under the ownership of Bencis, Kooi has rapidly grown into the pan-European leader in end-to-end TVS and early-stage heat detection solutions, best positioned in the most attractive segments of the market. To support Kooi’s strong European growth, the shareholders and management decided to attract a new growth-oriented partner. Lincoln International was appointed as exclusive advisor and ran a high-paced and focused auction process, during which IK Partners emerged as the ideal partner. Bencis, the founder and the management team will all reinvest alongside IK.
