Alcedo SGR has sold EXA Group to Montefiore Investment
EXA Group
EXA Group is a leading general contractor in the luxury retail, hotel, workspaces and luxury residential sectors. The group resulted from the combination of two leading Italian companies: EXA, which led high-quality international flagship store renovation projects, and Mobil Project, a provider of interior fitting services, finishes and furnishing works for luxury hotel and villas projects.
The Deal
Alcedo SGR purchased EXA Group in 2016 and played a meaningful role supporting the company in its continued growth and adding competencies through the acquisition of Mobil Project, a leading Italian furnishing company operating in the luxury hotels and residential buildings market. Alcedo SGR engaged Lincoln International as its exclusive advisor to find a partner that could support EXA Group’s compelling growth potential. Lincoln led a competitive process, involving a restricted list of both strategic acquirers and financial sponsors. The process resulted in an exclusivity agreement with the French private equity fund Montefiore Investment for the sale of the company.
