Undercover Tourist has been sold to EBG, a portfolio company of CAA
Undercover Tourist is a leading business-to-consumer online travel marketplace specializing in theme parks and attractions. The company has sold over 25 million theme park tickets to key destinations and attractions including Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld Parks, LEGOLAND Parks and more. The company also offers hotel and car rentals, and free vacation planning tools, including crowd calendars, apps with park planning itineraries and more.
Undercover Tourist is a privately held company majority-owned by its founders. Since its founding in 2000, the company has grown to provide solutions across the full planning-to-purchase lifecycle and is highly complementary to Entertainment Benefits Group’s (EBG) current offerings. Brett Reizen, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of EBG, commented, “With the addition of the Undercover Tourist platform to the EBG portfolio, we are gaining a strong consumer brand with a loyal customer following, along with a robust knowledge base of engaging content for theme park vacations. We look forward to collaborating with the Undercover Tourist team to expand the platform and to help our supplier partners increase their reach.” Ian Ford, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Undercover Tourist, added, “We are excited for Undercover Tourist to take this big leap, which is poised for growth and national product expansion and support as part of EBG’s network.”
Mike Lippert, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Technology, Media & Telecom Group, commented, “It was a pleasure to work with the Undercover Tourist team. We are excited to achieve a highly strategic outcome that will position the company for continued success as a leading provider in the online travel market.”
EBG is one of the fastest growing e-commerce solutions providers in the United States, specializing in travel and entertainment.
