U.P. Twiga Fiberglass Ltd., is a leading manufacturer and the largest supplier of glass wool insulation in India, with a track record of more than four decades. The company provides a wide range of insulation products for thermal and acoustic applications and is a licensee of Saint-Gobain technology for the manufacture of glass wool in India. Twiga has two manufacturing facilities in India; one in Ambernath, Maharashtra and another in Sikandrabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The Deal
The addition of Twiga’s glasswool insulation business is aimed at consolidating Saint-Gobain’s position in the insulation business in India. This acquisition is in line with Saint-Gobain’s “Grow & Impact” strategy, intending to both strengthen the group’s leadership and accelerate its growth by enriching its range of solutions for light and sustainable construction.
