Nixen, Pechel Industries and minority shareholders have sold Groupe Babeau-Seguin to Ardian

Lincoln International advised NiXEN Partners, Pechel Industries and other historic shareholders on the sale of the Babeau-Seguin Group (“Babeau-Seguin” or the “Group”), leader in the construction of detached houses, to Ardian.

With a turnover of more than € 180 million in 2017, Babeau-Seguin is the third largest French manufacturer of detached houses in residential areas. The Babeau-Seguin Group has built its leading position mainly in the north-eastern region of France through an effective multi-regional strategy that results in a dense territorial network, with 92 branches spread over 41 departments.

Babeau-Seguin has a solid reputation, thanks to its ten brands, which include the emblematic Maisons Babeau-Seguin, and offers a large catalog of more than house designs. The Group combines proximity and accessibility and is positioned on the entry level to mid-income range, with products costing between € 85,000 and € 125,000 on average.

The Group operates on an attractive market, conducive to consolidation, and has developed an effective strategy which calls for regular purchase of market shares. Babeau-Seguin has every intention of continuing its dynamic growth, by applying its ambitious digital strategy combined with an active acquisition policy, in the goal of exceeding revenues of € 250 million in the coming years.

Dominique Lecendreux, Managing Director of Lincoln International, commented, “Thanks to its resilient and efficient multi-regional model, Babeau-Seguin has become an undisputed leader in the construction of houses. It was with great enthusiasm that we accompanied Nixen, Pechel and the other shareholders in this sale. We wrapped up this competitive process with Ardian, who will be able to fully support Bruno Babeau in his new ambitions. “
