GENUI has acquired KGS Software
KGS Software, headquartered in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt, Germany, has been a leading digital archiving specialist for top companies worldwide for more than 20 years. Data and documents from SAP as well as documents from other leading applications are migrated and archived using efficient, streamlined software. Via its brand tia ®, kgs offers legally compliant and audit proof archiving and migration as well as further value-added solutions for any application, any storage and any cloud-technology.
GENUI pursued a strategy to acquire kgs as the global market for corporate information archiving is expected to steadily grow in the coming years. The significant drivers of this development include the increasing volume of data and the growing legal requirements for data archiving. kgs plays a crucial role by assisting its clients in efficiently and environmentally responsibly meeting the ever-growing compliance requirements on a daily basis. This capability makes kgs an intriguing company for GENUI. Lincoln International was appointed by GENUI as their exclusive debt advisor to arrange and negotiate a competitive financing package, accommodating both the acquisition and operating needs of kgs.
Dominik Spanier, Managing Director in Lincoln International’s Capital Advisory Group, commented, “We are very pleased for having advised GENUI on this highly interesting transaction. Leveraging our extensive experience in the German financing market and profound knowledge of capital raises in the technology, media and telecom sector, we were able to support GENUI in identifying the most appropriate financing package for the acquisition of the company.”
