Founders and private shareholders have sold Nispera to Fluence
Nispera provides an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine-learning enabled Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to monitor, analyze and optimize the performance and value of renewable energy assets. Nispera’s core offering is an AI-driven, utility-scale asset performance management (APM) application that currently has eight gigawatts of assets under management across 450 wind and solar projects. On top of the core APM platform, the company offers SaaS solutions for operations and maintenance, predictive maintenance as well as portfolio management. In addition, Nispera provides SaaS-based power generation forecasting solutions for energy traders, large asset managers and financial institutions (approximately 20 gigawatts).
Following a comprehensive process involving both strategic and financial investors, the Nispera team decided to join Fluence. Nispera will take a strategic role in leading Fluence’s digital asset management solutions business, creating a unique partnership that will accelerate the clean energy transition through asset performance management expertise and energy storage insights.
Christoph-Sebastian Meier, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Switzerland office, commented, “The sale of Nispera to Fluence is a thrilling example of how mergers and acquisitions (M&A) can help to transform the way we power our world. We are very proud to have facilitated this deal that brings together two key players who lead the way in the global clean energy transition.”
Fluence (Nasdaq: FLNC) is a global market leader in energy storage products, services and digital applications for renewables and storage. With a presence in 30 global markets, Fluence provides an ecosystem of offerings to drive the clean energy transition, including modular, scalable energy storage products, comprehensive service offerings and the Fluence IQ Platform, which delivers AI-enabled digital applications for managing and optimizing renewables and storage from any provider. The company is transforming the way we power our world by helping customers create more resilient and sustainable electric grids.
We highly appreciated Lincoln’s strategic perspective on Nispera’s value drivers, which was — combined with their excellent global M&A capabilities — a critical success factor in this deal. We are thrilled about the result achieved, and we are looking forward to the next chapter of our journey together with Fluence
