Enhanced Equity Funds and Transition Capital Partners’ Santé Pediatric Services has been sold to Webster Capital’s Epic Health Services

Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, has announced that Santé Pediatric Services (“Santé Pediatrics”), a portfolio company of Enhanced Equity Funds (“EEF”) and Transition Capital Partners (“TCP”), has been sold to Epic Health Services, Inc. (“Epic”), a portfolio company of Webster Capital. The transaction closed on December 19, 2012.

Founded in 1988, Santé Pediatrics is one of the largest independent pediatric therapy providers in Texas with both clinic and in-home operations. Epic is a leading provider of pediatric and adult home healthcare. The Santé Pediatrics acquisition is expected to not only add to Epic’s growing pediatric clientele for in-home physical, occupational and speech-language therapy but also provide a clinic-based presence in 11 cities throughout the state. Michael T. Fricke, President and Chief Executive Officer at Santé Pediatrics, said, “By combining our therapy expertise with Epic’s recognized leadership in pediatric private duty nursing, we’re able to better serve the children of Texas and provide them with the comprehensive care they need to reach their highest potential.”

John C. Garbarino, Epic’s President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “Our in-home pediatric therapy division will be strengthened by Santé Pediatrics’ experience and expertise in all aspects of pediatric therapy. Expanding our service offerings to include Santé Pediatrics’ 11 pediatric therapy clinics allows us to help more children in the state of Texas with their therapy needs.”

Lincoln International acted as the financial advisor to EEF, TCP and Santé Pediatrics, working closely with the company’s management team throughout the sale process. This included providing advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.

Malcolm Kostuchenko, a Managing Partner at EEF, commented, “The Lincoln team’s robust industry knowledge and direct access to strategic acquirers were critical to achieving a successful outcome for EEF, TCP and Santé Pediatrics.”

Kevyn DeMartino, a Managing Partner of TCP added, “The Lincoln team was highly committed to running an efficient process and worked diligently to ensure a close by year end.”
