ECCO Group has been sold to Berwind

Lincoln International, a leading mid-market investment bank, today announced that Electronic Controls Company (ECCO Group), the world’s largest designer, manufacturer, and marketer of proprietary back-up alarms and amber warning lights for commercial vehicles, has been acquired by Berwind Corporation (Berwind).

Berwind is a family-owned investment management firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with operating companies that serve a number of industries including pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, office and craft, automotive, and natural resources.

ECCO, which was previously a majority ESOP-owned company, will continue to be led by Ed Zimmer, CEO, and the exisitng senior management team. About ECCO Group
