DFW Capital Partners has raised $800,000,000 for DFW Capital Partners VII
DFW Capital Partners
DFW Capital Partners is a private equity investment firm focused exclusively on the lower middle market. Since 1994, the firm has been sponsoring growth investments, leading management buyouts and supporting consolidation strategies for businesses with EBITDA typically under $20 million. DFW has extensive expertise in acquiring and growing companies in the healthcare, business and industrial services industries. Over the years, DFW has demonstrated the ability to generate strong investment returns via the management and enhancement of the resources required to grow.
In a crowded private equity fundraising market with tightening limited partner (LP) allocations, DFW launched the Fund VII fundraise with a $750 million target and $800 million hard cap. Prior to Lincoln International’s engagement, DFW had already secured substantial investor commitments, capitalizing on strong support from existing LPs and several new institutional investors. DFW differentiated itself in many ways, including the strong performance of its investment portfolio, its deep and tenured investment team and its robust sourcing engine. With strategic and tactical support from the entire private funds advisory team, Lincoln guided DFW to a successful final close at the $800 million hard cap, maintaining focus on DFW’s primary goals throughout the process.
Steve Carre, Managing Director and co-head of Lincoln’s Private Funds Advisory practice, commented, “Given the crowded primary fundraising market and the competition for new capital across the private equity asset class, we took a thoughtful approach to market for a successful and efficient result together with the DFW team.”
Lincoln provided invaluable strategic guidance as we worked to complete our Fund VII fundraise. They recognized the challenges of the current fundraising market and tactically positioned our firm to achieve a successful outcome for DFW and our LPs and our hard cap closing objectives.
