CID Capital has sold GT Exhaust to Industrial Acoustics Company
Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce that GT Exhaust, Inc. (“GT” or the “Company”) has been sold to Industrial Acoustics Company, Inc. (“IAC”), a portfolio company of private equity firm AEA Investors LP. GT was a portfolio company of CID Capital, a private equity firm based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1978 and based in Lincoln, Nebraska, GT is a leading provider of sound and emissions control solutions to the North American energy, power and heavy transportation industries. GT’s compelling value proposition has enabled it to achieve a leading share in the North American silencer market and a rapidly growing presence in emission products. The Company’s comprehensive product line, which includes silencers, catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters and related accessories, is used in new installation and retrofit applications for large stationary engines. Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor to GT, working closely with the Company’s senior management team and CID Capital throughout the sale process. This included providing advisory expertise and managing the marketing, negotiation and due diligence phases of the transaction.
