Century Circuits & Electronics has been sold to Molex
Century Circuits & Electronics, Inc. (Century Circuits), a leading innovator and manufacturer of ultra-high layer and oversized flex circuit products serving the datacom, medical, military/aerospace and industrial markets, announced today that it has been sold to Molex Incorporated (Molex), the world’s second-largest manufacturer of electronic, electrical and fiber optic interconnection products and systems. Lincoln Partners, a leading middle market investment bank headquartered in Chicago, initiated this transaction, assisted in the negotiations and served as the exclusive financial advisor to Century Circuits regarding this sale. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Saint Paul, Minn., Century Circuits focuses on designing and manufacturing innovative, highly-engineered oversized and ultra-high layer flex circuits. The company provides targeted products and solutions to end users by manufacturing products that are technically superior and more cost-effective compared to alternative solutions. Century Circuits operating excellence has resulted in rapid revenue growth, profitability growth and strong customer relationships.
Lincoln Partners identified Molex as the strategic buyer most suitable to maintain and grow Century Circuits successful business. Century Circuits superior technological capabilities, innovations and operational excellence are expected to increase the Molex product offering significantly. As part of the transaction, Lincoln Partners oversaw all marketing, due diligence, negotiations and closing phases, working directly with Century Circuits and Molex to complete the transaction.
