Brightspot, a portfolio company of Carrick Capital Partners, has sold a majority stake to Tailwind Capital
Brightspot is a leading, cloud-based, API-first, enterprise-grade content management platform that global brands leverage to transform their content and curate digital experiences. The Brightspot platform enables enterprise content teams to efficiently create and manage content that can be distributed in real time across delivery methods in more than 170 languages. Brightspot’s platform, coupled with its world-class delivery team, has made it a trusted partner to industry leading brands across more than 15 market segments, enabling the company to effectively engage with audiences across relevant, meaningful communication channels.
Brightspot was a privately held corporation majority-owned by the founders, with a meaningful minority investment by Carrick Capital Partners. Since its founding in 2008, Brightspot has grown from a product company with professional services to a leading, cloud-based management platform utilized by segment leaders on a global scale. After having undergone several years of consistent growth, Brightspot sought a new partner to support multiple initiatives designed to accelerate growth, including developing innovative technological solutions, expanding wallet share with existing customers and deepening market penetration. With Tailwind Capital as a partner, management will continue to realize its vision for the company’s continued success.
Scott Twibell, Managing Director and co-head of Lincoln’s U.S. Technology, Media & Telecom Group, commented, “We truly enjoyed working with a great management team that is passionate about their business and look forward to the company’s continued success and growth with Tailwind’s new investment. We see tremendous opportunity as enterprises continue to focus on digital transformations and take advantage of cloud-based enterprise content management platforms such as Brightspot.”
Lincoln’s industry knowledge and process management expertise were essential in achieving an outstanding outcome for all of our stakeholders.
