Audax Private Equity has sold AI Fire to Snow Phipps
Headquartered in Long Beach, California, AI Fire is a leading provider of fire and life safety services to diversified end markets through a unique, highly integrated national and local operating model. The company provides inspection, maintenance, repair and installation services for portable fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and emergency lighting to national chains and the healthcare, industrial, education, commercial and hospitality industries.
AI Fire serves over 10,000 customers through approximately 450 employed technicians and 20 district offices, complemented by a trusted network of subcontractor partners. AI Fire has completed 11 acquisitions since 2017 and represents a strong platform for continued mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in a highly fragmented market.
Mike Lloyd, Chief Executive Officer of AI Fire, said, “Lincoln ran an exceptional process, with thorough preparation and thoughtful articulation of the opportunity, led by a hands-on senior team that helped us secure an outstanding outcome and great future partner for the company.”
Lincoln acted as the exclusive investment banking advisor to AI Fire, working closely with Audax and the AI Fire management team throughout the sale process. This included providing M&A and industry expertise, as well as managing the preparatory, marketing, due diligence and negotiation phases of the transaction.
The Lincoln International team provided valuable strategic advice and took a thoughtful approach throughout the critical phases of this transaction.
