APT Controls has been sold to SWARCO

Lincoln International, a leading global mid-market investment bank, has announced that APT Controls Limited, a provider of parking management and access control solutions for vehicle and pedestrian applications in the United Kingdom, has been sold to SWARCO AG, an Austrian traffic technology group.

APT is a group of companies whose expertise helps address key issues in parking access control and payment systems, electrical vehicle (EV) charging, support structure for traffic signs and signals, road safety systems and crowd control systems. Its portfolio also includes vehicle blockers, barriers, bollards and other similar counter-terror hardware. The Group, which has operated in the UK for 45 years, employs 170 staff across two sites.

SWARCO, the Austrian-based traffic technology corporation of Tyrolean entrepreneur Manfred Swarovski, is an international group providing a range of products, systems, services and solutions for road safety and intelligent traffic management. With almost five decades of experience in the industry, SWARCO aims to support the growing mobility needs of society with turnkey systems and solutions in road marking, urban and interurban traffic control, parking, public transport, detection, info-mobility and energy-efficient, LED-based signaling and lighting technology. The Group consists of approximately 70 companies and 2,500 employees in 24 countries with annual revenues of c.€500 million.

Lincoln International acted as the exclusive financial advisor of APT and its shareholders, assisting with preparing marketing materials, advising on negotiations, coordinating due diligence, reviewing documentation and coordinating all steps until closing of the transaction.
