Aleda has been sold to the Paris-listed FDJ Group
Aleda is a leading provider of digital and cash in-store solutions designed for convenience retailing, such as tobacconists, ethnic stores and bookstores, totaling approximately 2,500 points of sale over the French territory.
Aleda offers comprehensive and multi-channel solutions encompassing proprietary electronic transaction platforms and point-of-sale systems, such as smart tills and web platforms, enabling transactions worth over half a billon euros per year related to prepaid products and services (gaming, entertainment, e-money, telephony, etc.) and money transfer.
Lincoln International was mandated to act as the exclusive financial advisor to Aleda’s shareholders. Lincoln led a process involving both international strategic acquirers and financial sponsors able to support the ambitions of Aleda’s shareholders and management. The process resulted in the acquisition of Aleda by FDJ Group, France’s national lottery and leading gaming operator.
This acquisition is fully aligned with the development strategy of FDJ Group’s payment and services business and strengthens the group’s commitment to support French retailers by providing high value-added services to facilitate the management and development of their points of sale.
Arnaud Dudognon, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Paris office, commented, “With this transaction, Lincoln succeeded in delivering the best outcome to our clients and finding the most suitable shareholder able to take Aleda to the next level.”
The entire Lincoln team delivered valuable advice from day one with total client-oriented dedication and precise process execution.
