ADAS Group has been sold to RSK Group
Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, is pleased to announce the sale of ADAS, the U.K.’s largest independent provider of agricultural and environmental consultancy, rural development services and policy advice. ADAS provides domestic and international clients with a unique combination of insight and practical experience underpinned by robust, informed, science-based information. Its core disciplines focus on balancing profitable food production with minimum environmental impact and reducing waste, water and energy use to ensure future sustainability.
The sale will see the ADAS business, including more than 300 employees located at more than 15 sites across the U.K., transferring to RSK. Business Growth Fund has backed RSK in making the acquisition. The ADAS brand will be retained and the business will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of RSK.
This acquisition makes RSK one of the biggest environmental consultancies in the country. It also adds new services to RSK’s portfolio, including expertise in land management, crop and food production, specialist chemical risk assessment and town planning.
Andrew Walker, Executive Director at ADAS, said, “The announcement of RSK’s acquisition of ADAS is very positive news. It brings together two organisations that will, between them, offer an unrivalled breadth of expertise in the natural and built environment and that will be capable of delivering powerful solutions to our clients’ problems across the complete spectrum, from agriculture and the food chain to sustainable development, transport, energy and civil engineering.”
Edward Lethbridge, Managing Director at Lincoln, said, “ADAS can trace its roots back to 1946 when it was established as the advisory and research arm of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Fisheries. As such, the organisation boasts an extraordinary range of subject matter expertise and decades of unique experience. This level of niche specialism required a broad and detailed marketing approach for which Lincoln’s industry knowledge and international office footprint was ideally placed to explore.”
Lincoln acted as financial advisor to ADAS Group Limited.
