East Iowa Machine Company (EIMCo) is a solutions-oriented advanced manufacturer of high value-add metal components and assemblies for diverse end markets, including infrastructure, material handling, semiconductor, medical and air filtration. From short-run prototyping to high-volume production, EIMCo and its subsidiaries, JBT and Hawkeye Metal Spinning, boast a robust suite of highly automated capabilities including computer numerical control machining, robotic welding, assembly, metal fabrication and metal spinning. EIMCo’s scale and breadth of capabilities make it a “one-stop shop” solution, enabling its customers to simplify their supply chains and focus on their own core competencies.
The Deal
Lincoln International represented Stone Arch Capital in its sale of EIMCo Holdings LLC and its subsidiaries to Steel Technologies LLC, a joint venture between Nucor Corporation and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Under Stone Arch Capital’s ownership, EIMCo completed two acquisitions (JBT and Hawkeye Metal Spinning), diversified its end-market mix and made strategic investments in people, equipment and processes to position itself for continued long-term growth. As a repeat client, Stone Arch Capital engaged Lincoln International to execute a competitive process, which resulted in the successful sale of EIMCo to Steel Technologies. This transaction further demonstrates Lincoln’s expertise within advanced manufacturing.
