SPIE Group has divested its UK operations to Imtech, jointly owned by Dalkia and EDF Energy
SPIE UK is a leading provider of technical engineering solutions for the built environment, with a focus on environmental safety and energy efficiency solutions. Its bespoke end-to-end service proposition includes initial design through installation, testing and commissioning to long-term maintenance, optimization and facilities management. The company employs approximately 1,800 people and generates revenues of approximately £200 million.
SPIE Group’s divestiture of its UK operations is part of a strategy to focus on its core European markets. The sale represented 100% of SPIE Group’s UK operations. The closing of the transaction is expected before the end of 2022, subject to the fulfillment of customary regulatory approvals.
Matthew Buck, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Industrials Group, commented, “We are delighted to have supported SPIE Group through this successful divestiture. SPIE UK operates in an exciting market with strong growth opportunities in environmental safety and energy efficiency solutions. We are sure the business will thrive under Imtech’s ownership.”
Lincoln’s industry expertise combined with a highly dedicated team of bankers enabled SPIE to conduct a thorough strategic review and ultimately proved critical in achieving a successful outcome for the divestment of our UK operations.
