Datwyler Group has sold Distrelec and Nedis to Aurelius
With the announced sale of the two electronics components distribution businesses in December 2019, Distrelec and Nedis, Datwyler Group has achieved a key milestone in its strategy to focus on its sealing business.
Lincoln acted as the exclusive M&A adviser to Datwyler, providing process, financial and tactical advisory expertise and managing the preparatory, marketing, due diligence and negotiation phases of the transaction.
The transaction, which represents Lincoln International’s 10th successful corporate sell-side mandate in DACH in 2019, further demonstrates the firm’s market-leading position as advisor in strategic corporate disposals.
With Distrelec and Nedis, Aurelius acquires the leading high-service distributor of electronics, automation, measurement technology and IT in Switzerland and the Nordics, and Netherland’s #1 and Europe’s #3 wholesaler of own-branded consumer electronics, respectively.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Closing of the transaction is expected by the end of the first quarter 2020, subject to regulatory approval.
