Headquartered in Colborne, Ontario, Cam Tran has been serving Canadian electrical utility providers for over 40 years. The company is the largest Canadian manufacturer of polemounted and padmounted distribution, oil-filled transformers for a wide array of commercial, residential and industrial applications. Cam Tran is the largest North American producer of amorphous metal transformers (AMTs) and has recently expanded sales to leading U.S. electrical utility providers. The Deal
Central Moloney Incorporated (CMI) is a leading manufacturer of critical infrastructure products for the U.S. electrical grid. CMI targeted Cam Tran to add highly complementary products in the distribution transformer segment, expand its customer relationships into the Canadian market and further develop its AMT capabilities. The combined company forms one of the largest producers of distribution transformers in North America with considerable capacity and diverse engineering capabilities. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
