BC Partners has acquired IGS GeboJagema from Smile Invest and Robo Investments

IGS GeboJagema (IGS) is the leading global, pure-play healthcare, high-precision molding technology provider. As the largest pure-play healthcare manufacturer, by leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies, IGS produces high-precision, ultra-low tolerance, multi-cavity injection molds that enable the exact, repeatable and scalable production of medical devices. IGS serves as a key strategic partner to leading global pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, particularly in the drug delivery and ophthalmology segments, while actively expanding into diagnostics and healthcare consumables. Founded in 1945, IGS is headquartered in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and has a growing presence in the United States through its facility in Peachtree City, Georgia.

The Deal

BC Partners agreed to acquire a majority stake in IGS GeboJagema with the objective to build on IGS’s strong foundations and invest in new capabilities and avenues for further expansion. Smile Invest and the management team will remain minority shareholders in the business. With the support of its new shareholders, IGS GeboJagema is perfectly equipped to execute its growth plan, built around continued investment in organic expansion, targeted mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities and entry into adjacent verticals.
