Amper has been sold to ECI Software Solutions, a portfolio company of Apax Partners, Leonard Green Partners and GIC
Amper Technologies, Inc.
Amper is a manufacturing execution system (MES) provider that gives factories real-time visibility into their shop floors. Amper’s FactoryOS® platform combines fast deployment with real-time machine, job and labor insights to close the gap between enterprise resource planning and production. The system connects to any machine on the shop floor, regardless of age or brand, surfacing issues automatically, identifying bottlenecks and using AI-driven insights to guide decision-making.
The Deal
Lincoln International was engaged by Amper’s shareholders to explore strategic outcomes due to its deep expertise across the manufacturing technology sector and extensive buyer relationships across the strategic buyer and financial sponsor universes. After evaluating the company’s strategic objectives, the company identified ECI Software Solutions as their ideal long-term partner.
The acquisition strengthens ECI’s commitment to AI innovation, adding Amper’s predictive, AI-powered insights that help manufacturers run more efficiently. With the MES now part of ECI’s portfolio, manufacturers gain the missing link between planning and execution, creating a seamless workflow and predictable production experience.
Amper’s FactoryOS strengthens ECI’s manufacturing suite with:
- An AI-powered copilot that summarizes and predicts performance and issues, updates progress automatically and guides operators using real-time machine, job and team data
- Smart scheduling that sequences jobs automatically, flags delays and shows live job progress so teams can adjust in the moment and stay on track
- Live machine insights that capture uptime, downtime, OEE, scrap and cycle counts from any machine, giving teams instant visibility without manual tracking
- Labor analytics that reveal workforce performance, highlight training needs and support better staffing and productivity decisions
Our Perspective
Jesse Espinoza, Managing Director in Lincoln International’s Technology Group who led the transaction, commented, “It has been a pleasure to partner with Amper on this successful transaction. Amper has established itself as an MES category-defining Software as a Service (SaaS) platform empowering the next generation of shop floor intelligence and is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for AI-driven manufacturing software platforms. We believe the strategic partnership with ECI will accelerate both Amper and ECI’s combined next phase of growth and look forward to following the company’s continued success.”
