Ambienta and other shareholders have sold Next Imaging to Azimut Libera Impresa
Next Imaging is a platform promoted by Ambienta, aimed at creating an international value-added distributor of imaging and machine vision solutions. The platform encompasses iMAGE S, the Italian leader acquired in 2018, and 1stVision, the leading distributor in North America acquired in 2020. The group is headquartered in Italy with a presence in the U.S. and Germany and has a workforce of approximately 50 employees.
Ambienta engaged Lincoln International as exclusive advisor to find a partner that could support Next Imaging’s compelling growth potential and to run a lender education process to accelerate and smooth the financing process for the potential buyers. Despite the recent complex macroeconomic environment, Lincoln crafted a tailored and highly competitive process, involving both international strategic acquirers and financial sponsors. The process resulted in an agreement with Azimut Libera Impresa for the sale of the company.
Gianluca Banfi, Managing Director in Lincoln’s Milan office, commented, “Next Imaging is a true value-added distributor of imaging and machine vision solutions with a leading position in Italy and in the U.S. Ambienta and the management have done a fantastic job in developing the company into a real champion in its niche sector. We are honored to have played a role in bringing Next Imaging together with its new partner Azimut Libera Impresa, and we look forward to following the company’s future expansion and success.”
