Community Intervention Services has refinanced and acquired Futures Behavioral Therapy Center

Lincoln International (“Lincoln”), a leading global mid-market investment bank, announced today the successful completion of a financing for Community Intervention Services, Inc. (“CIS” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of H.I.G. Growth Partners (“H.I.G.” or the “Sponsor”). CIS is a leading provider of behavioral health services, treating patients diagnosed with a variety of mental health and substance abuse disorders in community-based and outpatient settings across six states.

Lincoln acted as exclusive financial advisor to CIS and H.I.G., working closely with both the Company and the Sponsor through all aspects of the financing, including structuring, arranging and negotiating the new credit facilities (the “Financing”). The Financing consisted of a senior credit facility, provided by GE Healthcare Finance and Fifth Third Bank, and a junior credit facility, led by Triangle Capital Corporation. Proceeds from the Financing were used to fund CIS’ acquisition of Futures Behavior Therapy Center, LLC, provide capacity for additional acquisitions, refinance the Company’s existing debt and support ongoing working capital needs.

Kevin Sheehan, Co-Founder and CEO of Community Intervention Services, commented, “Utilizing Lincoln enabled us to efficiently explore multiple structural alternatives to meet our capital needs and the acquisition timeline. Lincoln did an exemplary job of combining the firm’s capital raising and industry expertise to educate prospective investors on a highly specialized sector of the healthcare industry and drive an effective process that resulted in an excellent outcome for CIS. Through this transaction, we have improved our financial flexibility and have secured additional capital for future growth and expansion.”
